During Math, we have been measuring, everything! We created our own measuring trains using ten snap cubes. We have been learning how to match up the ends of our measuring train with the object we are measuring so that we can compare and decide which is longer or shorter. We measured and created a T-Chart to keep track of all of the different objects that we measured. In the end, we studied the chart and noticed that we measured more longer items and less shorter items. According to one student, "the chart gives us lots of information!"
We used our little white pumpkins, all week long. We used our scientist eyes and magnifying glasses to study the different sizes, shapes and colors. We used our math minds to count and sort and put the pumpkins in order from smallest to largest. Finally, we used our creativity to decorate our pumpkins with glitter and glue, two words that start with our secret password!
