From double bundling our counting sticks, counting 100 stickers during calendar and dancing the 100 Macarena, the students enjoyed a busy day filled with counting and numbers. We made silly 100th Day hats, sorted fruit loops into ten groups of ten and strung 100 pieces of cereal into a necklace, traced and added colorful hearts to our Kindness tree, read several books about the hundredth day and admired our friends collections in our 100 Museum!

We had an exciting day on Friday! We were surprised by a visit from some Superheroes! The children were in awe and so surprised when Wonder Woman, Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Supergirl, Bat Girl, Mr. Incredible and a couple of Ninja Turtles entered the classroom! Not only did Wonder Woman read us a story, but Super Girl and Bat Girl performed a dance and, in the end, we danced The Whip It NeNe together! The Superheroes came to us thanks to the Litchfield High School Acts of Kindness Club. The LHS students were so fabulous with the children. The morning was truly magical!
Examples of various math stations: measuring length and weight, and counting on and adding up to 10.
