It's time for a tooth chart!! Two of our friends have lost some teeth. We decided to keep track of how many teeth our whole class will lose by the end of the school year! Do you think the teeth on our chart might make it all the way up to the ceiling?!?
We can use our "Eagle Eyes" to look at the details in the illustrations and notice letters to help read our books. We are learning several different strategies and using different reading tools, such as our eye rings and witches fingers. After reading several classic nursery rhymes, such as Humpty Dumpty and Jack and Jill, we discussed the sequence or order in which the story took place. We used the picture clues and the words to help organize the different parts into First, Next and Last categories. In the end, we were able to reread the story without Mrs. Johnson's help!!
