Mr. H not only seemed like a Mad Scientist, he also seemed like a Magician! He rolled around on skates, made balloons float in the air without using helium, made water disappear and let out a loud "explosion" for the finale! We were a bit startled and even scared but it didn't take long for us all to relax and appreciate the amazing experiments!
Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring our Science Assembly on Thursday!

This morning, we had a fire drill at GCS. As soon as the alarm went off, we stopped what we were doing and walked to the side door. Mrs. Johnson turned off the lights, closed the hallway door and helped us get out safely. Everyone was impressed that we walked quietly and safely across the circle to our meeting spot. Mr. Threlfall, the man in charge of safety, gave us a compliment!! When we got back to the classroom, we met together to review important things to remember during a fire drill. For example, we need to get in line right away and not try to be the last person (caboose). We also realized that it is important to stay in one place in line and not move around to be with your friends. The more we practice the more we realize how to keep ourselves and our classmates safe, if we ever had an emergency.
What a beautiful day for a picnic! We enjoyed eating our lunches in the front courtyard for a special War Fuzzy Celebration. Not only did we enjoy the warmth of the sun and silly conversations with our friends, we LOVED the finale...ICE CREAM!!!
