The leprechaun sent us on a wild goose chase around the school, looking for treasures! After hunting for rainbows and reading the clues, we found the treasure hidden in our classroom. Golden chocolates and coins! In order to make sure the treasure was distributed fairly, we had to count and figure out how to pass out the loot so that everyone received the same amount. The children worked together to sort, count and recount each item so that there was enough for all of the students. Inevitably, we had some extras and the children discussed what to do with the left over items. First, they realized that although we had 14 students, we had a new student starting soon and it would be nice to include her and share the treasure. So , we made a bag for her. Then, they realized that Mr. Leary and Mrs. Keilty should get part of the treasure since they work so hard and are so kind to us! Thoughtful kiddos! Proud teacher!

Fun with our Region 6 friends. A game show, pie in the face, picnic in the classroom, stories and playing with friends- an all around great way to spend a morning! After reading the book, The Dot, we decorated our own 2D dot picture and then used the app, Quiver to transform our dot drawing into a colorful 3D sphere.
